Here are some pics of the dig out after the last snow storm. I think I worked about a hundred hours last week running a vplow on an IT38 cat on the county roads but the most enjoyment I had was running the old cat traxcavater piling up snow here a the farm. Jason😄

I can,t believe how much more snow you got down in the southern part of Pa. amd Md. and D.C.Here in NE Pa. near Wilkes Barre that first snow a couple weeks ago we didn,t get a thing but the one this last Wed. we got 9" is all.It seems all of lower Pa. got hit both times and even 10 to 20 miles south and west of here they got plenty. The local TV weather news said here in the W.B. area we have only had about 29" so far this winter and they showed Baltimore had over twice that much and DC I believe they said about 76".

Mike didn,t you or some of your men used to come into Cleveland Bros. Cat dealer here in Wilkes Barre Pa.I remember Durkins doing jobs up in this area years ago.I worked for Cleveland from 1956 till I retired the end of 1991 and ran the engine rebuilding and testing dept. They bought out Beckwith Machinery in the western part of Pa. and a store or two in Maryland and W. Va.so they have about 28 branches now. I know that Ransome has the territory around Philly. yet. They used to bring rebuilt engines for me to dyno. test years ago till they got their own dyno.

Yes Mike you are right that IT38 was nice and toasty inside and the radio works well. Couldn't get the stations to tune in on the 933 so I had to listen to the pipe!! SJ the 20 inches of snow wasn't that bad but the 50 plus mile an hour winds cut visability to close to none about noon on wednesday and there was a whole lot of drifting. I spent 2 days just busting through drifts to get the roads open for the county to plow. We also went on two rescues where the idiots got trapped in a snow drift because they had to be out on the road in a blizzard and one of the boys found a suv burried in about 15 feet of snow. Luckily no one was in it. Sorry I didn't get any plowing pics the loader looks neat with about a 12 foot v blade hanging off the front. Jason

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
