Hello!

I have recently purchased a 941 (serial # 80H1666). While tracking down parts, I ran across someone who has a 941B that has blown final drive, but has near new undercarriage and several other parts that I'd be interested in. I'm thinking this 941B might be a good deal for a parts machine, for if/when I need to make repairs on mine.....esp, if I can get it for the right price and get it down to me (its about 2 hrs away). from what I've read, the 941B is just the newer version of the 941....no signifigance differences - dimensions same, engine same, controls etc...but I could certainly be mistaken.

Are the 941B compatible w/ the 941 as far as parts? engine?
is there anything I should be concerned with while using parts btwn these two machines?
I know with a busted final drive, it can be a challenge to get it on/off a trailer. thoughts?

any input anyone has on getting a parts machine, good idea?
estimated cost of a running 941B w/ a blown final drive but near 'new' undercarriage would be worth, would be much appreciated.

thank you! Cheers.

I just put sprockets and rails on my 941 reused pads. replaced all bolts and rebuilt a tensionr and one idler. I've got about 3k in parts. if its cheap and you can move it id go for it.

The 941B uses the 3304 engine , starting with s/n 80H3884. Prior units used the D330c. Far as I know the rest is the same.

That's about right OM although I will do quick double check on final drive parts before confirming.

I believe there's supposed to be an engine data plate on my machine, but I cant seem to locate it in any obvious places.

which is why i'm thinking it best to confirm what I got first. where is plate usually?

my fear is over the years, the engine in my unit has been swapped out.

thanks again.
Cheers

If the water pumps looks like this it's a D330c.
If it's a 3304 the water pump will have a 4-bolt cover.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
