On my diesel forty the LH steering clutch won't disengage the brake is working fine but yeh it will just stall the tractor both the leavers seem to be adjusted roughly the same but the LH leaver seems to not have as much weight on it any help on how to adjust these would be really good.
Also the main clutch doesn't throw over centre I have to hold it back I'm shaw this one is a easy fix I haven't gone too far into it as yet I only got it going today just seeing if anyone has some advise before I go head first into it
Thanks men

Hello Dalby 83, I'll start with the main first. Under the tractor there is a cover under the clutch. Disengage the main clutch, and place tractor in gear, set brake. Remove the cover. locate and loosen the the clamping bolt on the adjustment collar it should a 3/4" size nut. Screw adjusting collar towards the engine a turn then TIGHTEN THE CLAMPING BOLT this ensures you don't strip the threads on the collar. Check for clutch snap and re peat as necessary to achieve proper adjustment.

Your steering clutch sounds a bit more difficult, first check free play in the lever. Should be 3" at the end of the lever. If more than that removing large rectangular cover under the seat will reveal the steering clutch adjustment screws. Work the levers and you'll see where to adjust. Let us know what you find.

Good luck
