diesel 50 / rd7 radiators ?

I have a diesel 50 with a good radiator but the rest of the tractor is almost unrestorable. I have a really slick rd7 that runs and drives but the someone ran a branch into the fan and wiped out the radiator. looks like the measurements are close to the same. possibly just a tank switch and clean up the core on the 50 and install on the rd7 tanks. am I on the right track and has anyone ever tried this?

You are on the right track with the rads. The engines are different as the 50 is 5 1/4 bore and the RD is 5 3/4 bore but there is lots of interchangability.
