yes i believe t hey do and did. i am not sure about their market share though because almost all mfg make them too. in order to find one you would need to find an area where there is demand for them ,like oil field, irrigation, power generation etc.

D46U straight blade,D46U cat angle blade,allis chalmers AD4 grader and Khoering 404 dragline. D4C 40A,D4 2T and scraper.

They make all kinds of them, and have for many decades. They also own MAK which builds big marine engines.... If I had to guess market share for standby power or pumping, I would guess Cat is among the largest of them worldwide.

thanks for reply... my original plan was to find a stationary engine version of crawler engine to drive sawbench or as you say across the pond a shingle mill... but I will widen my search for 15 to 20 hp diesel engine which still has V pulleys

finding a suitable Cat engine with V pulley and not direct drive will not be too difficult with so many variations

I did not know that Cat are a large manufacturer of stationary engines until I received replies here..... I am always ready to learn something new.... I am designing a frame to mount the sawbench and engine where the engine will need to move backwards and forward to tension belt and then work out where to put the axle so it is just a bit front heavy
