I would like to know if you can buy decals for a 977H that makes it look original after painting?

Joe, I suspect that Cat dealership would be the better choice, since the club concentrates on equipment 40 years old or older. I don't know how old your tractor is. However, if you wish, you can make a quick telephone call to our club's office and inquire there. The phone number is (309) 691-5002, located in Peoria, IL. The office is open during normal business hours, Central Time. GWH

That should be a 53A serial number 977H and they went in production in 1960.

SJ, since you write that it was made in 1960, the club should be prepared to sell the correct decal kit to anyone. You don't have to be a member to purchase any of our merchandise. (That is, except pre-sales at reduced prices of some of our scale models; but the ad will so indicate.) GWH

GWH, the 53A started production but he didn,t give a serial number so it no doubt was made a little later than 1960.

Contact one of these for help. Best of luck to you.
The 977H is one of the reasons I got into operating, watching my friend run one when I was 11 or so cinched it. How about some pics of it?

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
