If I read the serial plate correctly it is a 1952 according to the ACMOC Track-Type Machines Serial Number Reference Manual.

That new tractor will do a lot of work, I have had two of them for about twenty years. Is that one still all original. I have one with the direct start conversion.

Dan, I've had the same clutch issue in the past. I forgot the clutch adjustment process but it isn't that difficult. Maybe some could scan a page from the Cat manual and post it here. Takes about 30 minutes to complete. I'll check to see if I
have a spare water pump.

Chappy I bought a service manual that will help me. I have looked at the parts suppliers on here but they all need part numbers so I have to come up with a parts book too.I also see that the grease buttons are very large compared to the ones I use in the mine I work in. So I have to buy an end to fit them do you happen to know what size they may be? From what a guy that knows cats well he said that the chain and rollers are in about 75% I am surprised since it is a 1952. So I wanna keep my rollers greased well and try and keep the drive in top shape. Thanks to all who have replied I am trying to soak up all the info I can to get my cat in better shape. Thanks again Dan

Dan,

I have several volume guns with that fitting in my collection, just wish you were a little closer. I'll hold on to one for you in case you make it out to Southern California.
