Joe - thanks for posting the pics, they are very interesting. It's a shame they never made it into print. Your Dad must have some stories to tell, and seen a lot of different places.
The CCC is interesting enough in itself. Has anyone ever written up the history of the CCC?
Caterpillar produced a booklet in 1935, entitled "Crops or Canyons" .. and it's all about the conservation techniques and efforts of the CCC in the early 1930's, when the Govt set in place the huge effort to restore eroded farmland, as well as employ people.

There's some nice antique machines in those pics. What is the story with the unique grill with the large holes on the tractor with the scraper? Was that a special grill to counter overheating?

Thank you for sharing those great pictures with us,all the more valueable because some forward thinking individual had the foresight to carry a camera and commit them to film.
The point and shoot generation has very little concept of the effort required to create the history that you have shared with us.Ron G
