Hello everyone,
So we end up buying a d9h that needed work. Had a dead hydraulic system and steering clutch non release issue.

Thay had all sorts of lines hooked up backwards on the pilot system.
The pump however is totaled. It's double gear pump inline. We started looking for pumps and keep coming across vane pumps listed for the machine?

My question is are the gear pumps early pumps replaced by vane pumps? Or vise versa ?

It's the weekend so I haven't spoken to any parts company's yet. It's just been bugging me.

That's one of the problems were having atm. Trying to get the numbers off the tag. It's really scratched up and weathered. What makes if worse is the serial tags were removed off the tractor.

Would there be any other tags on the hydraulic system?
Thanks in advance.

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
