I thought all powershifts were manual, in the sense that if you put it in 3F for example, then that's the gear selected and it won't change to any other gear automatically (like an automatic would). Do they mean something different?
Hi, Neil.
If you have a look at the floor just left and forrard of the operator's seat, you may notice a long lever poking up from the floor with a forward lean to it. See if it reminds you of some similar sight from a long distant past.

Are you sure they have the model correct? What's the s/n?
Seems more like a D9E 50Axxxx Direct Drive and Torque Converter or a 49Axxxx Direct Drive.
They didn't make many of either.
Hi, Old Magnet.
I would suggest that it is a D9G. The blade control lever and visible front edge of the hydraulic tank are both later D9G after they dropped the front mounted hydraulics and went to the side tank hydraulics.

I think that lever is for a rear attachment, like a pto.
I am no expert but the lever on the floor to the left of the seat looks like a clutch lever. It also looks like it has the U shaped gate for a power shift to the left of the seat. I am probably wrong but that what it looks like to me.
