Where it stated life is unknow. Larry Aksland in Manteca acquired as there first D9. He did road, subdivision work and did considerable work for Laurance Livermore Lab. After Larry retired, it went to a small contractor in Byron who never used it. Which is where i bought. Has Peterson cushion dozer, Ateco ripper, and Torrance canopy. It was at the Best Show in the West in 2008 and the Mickie Grove tractor Fest in 2024.
Hi, Brian18A.
I think I remember that tractor from The Best Show On Tracks, 2008. If I am correct, it was only there for the Saturday and they would not let us double-push it with the D9G behind Glen Gilhotti's Cat 660 scraper, which was at its first outing since Glen had acquired it.
Just my 0.02.
You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.
Pushing was not allowed due to ripper being very messed up. Ripper had been pulled off the back of tractor, bent arms and cylinders, cylinder mounts cracked. I feared that mounts would break and go through fuel tank. I have a complete replacement Ateco ripper to replace the damaged one. Getting damaged one off will be fun, it is welded solidly to the tractor. Was one day because the free lowbed had to go back to making money.
