Pump looks like the torque divider and recirculating scavenge pump.
Hi Medic235,
as ever a Serial Number would help further but for very early 46A's the Transmission pump is mounted at the top left corner of the rear face of the main Torque Conv. housing.
First units had a vane pump that was never long lasting due to drive train contaminants wearing the fine tolerance vanes etc. out.
Next evolution was a gear pump in the same location and later still a larger Steering pump (mounted on front right side of Accessory drive housing near the flywheel housing upper in front of the floor plates) was utilised with a change of pipe work layout.
Cheers,
Eddie B.
Hi Team,
OK more dialogue whilst I was looking in books and posting.
If the pump is at the bottom centre of the rear face of the T/C housing it will be the T/C Scavenge pump to return oil leaked from the T/C and lube supplied to the Torque Diver planetary gear set back to the reservoir under the steer clutches etc. in the main rear case.
Cheers,
Eddie B.
Possible this has both pumps ?![]()
Second pic is the transmission and steering clutch hyd pump
Would help if you provided tractor s/n but units with filter under left floorboard would be prior to 46A10725.
Hose from pump to filter is a 1S0030, hose from filter to trans is a 7M5124.
Pump is a 7M6621 gear pump, part of transmission lubrication system.
The serial number we have 46A17778
