If I remember right a bare 36A is somewhere around 24 ton
Hi, 1972RedNeck.
That one is a 235 horsepower early D8H 46A series, a good, solid, reliable tractor around 49,000 to 50,000# bare. The extra 'hardware' might take it to around 64,000 - 65,000#.
The power rating that they give on this site is for the later 46A series machines with the side-mount hydraulic tank as shown in their first photo of a 'dozer. This machine also has the later parallelogram ripper. The second photo on this site is of an early D8H similar to the one you are looking at, 235 HP version.
Maybe you could ask 'em to re-glaze the cab before you take delivery. LOL.
Just my 0.02.
You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.
