Just bought my first D8 #9A1872.

I was looking to fully service the unit before I try it out, possibly purchasing oils in bulk 45gal drums. I have some equipment that calls for 15-40 in hydraulic systems. Does any one have any input on an an alternative to cats 30w transmission drive oil in a 14A?

Thank you but I'm still a bit stumped. I dont see the drive train fluid in an S.A.E.#90 like recommended.

Is cats mil-l-2105 a modern GL-5 gear lube?

It just seems kinda thick to pump through filter element.

The heaviest TDTO is SAE 50
yes, GL5 is equivalent to the old 90wt gear oil.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
