Nice machine and very interesting video. Not only you got it out without a huge hole, but its all split and ready to dry out and burn with little dirt. Thanks for posting.

Did anyone see that episode of ax men (drama logging) where that dumbass beats the crap out of a Cat skid loader and busts a tooth trying to get a stump out? I cant believe they put such stupidity on tv these days! Just unreal!

Hi, ROME/KG.
Better get used to it, M8. It seems to be getting more and more common - - - at an even faster rate than common sense is disappearing. LOL.

Dynamite or anfo is quicker and more fun. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

Just my 0.02.

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

It's a 1969 according to the serial number, 48A12171. I love that winch too, this thing was in a gravel pit and the winch is barely used, I figure it mostly towed stuff around the pit. I've had a devil of a time with the pony motor since it got cold out, it needs rings badly. I don't know if it would be just as easy to put an electric start on it and be done with it.

Ok, I have a 12342 and 6864. For the cost might better to rebuild the pony. Have to let the pony idle and warm up and also let the diesel run on compression with fuel OFF for quite awhile to get things warmed up. That cold steel takes a while to get warm. Need any parts for the pony let me know. Gary

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
