There's another thread going on a D7F that I bought last month. Thanks to everyone for your feedback on that one.

Now for another question. I need an undercarriage, I knew that when I bought the tractor. I'm talking to a fellow member that has a D7E that he's parting out. My rail pitch is 8.50 and he said the 7E is also 8.50. I have 38 links but don't know the link count on the 7E rails as of yet.

I'm assuming if the sprockets/idlers are the same width and the link count is the same, then the 7E rails will fit the 7F.
So am I right or wrong? I wont' put many hours on the machine so I really want to find a used undercarriage to go for a while so I can assess the condition of the remainder of the tractor before I spend the money for an all new undercarriage.

I'm sure some of you guys know the rail interchange information off the top of your head.

Thanks,
Brent

Hey Brent, I'm digging up an old thread here, but was curious as to how well the swap over went. I have a D7E and am also looking for some undercarriage for mine as well. Did everything interchange ok?

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
