I have a D7F Service manual. The Engine section states
4.75" Bore Six cylinder vehicle engine (Dated August 1971), but gives no engine type.
Can anyone tell me if this for the D333T or 3306 engine as I'm not sure of the differences between the two.
Am I correct in thinking the D333T was the predecessor of the 3306 ?

D3XX was certainly the lead up to the 3300 series John, as to the rest sorry I am not sure on that but am sure someone on here will be.

If the service manual is dated 1971, it would be referring to the D333c, which became the 3306 about a year or so later.

D333 is 4.5" bore. D333C is 4.75" bore and very similar to the 3306. Head, Front cover, Water pump and Oil pump are different.

My understanding is that the 33xx series will have an engine serial number different from the tractor, where one of the earlier D3XX and D3XXC engines has the serial number of the machine in which it is installed (originally installed)

D2-5J's, D6-9U's, D318 and D333 power units, 12E-99E grader, 922B & 944A wheel loaders, D330C generator set, DW20 water tanker and a bunch of Jersey cows to take care of in my spare time😄

Changed from D333T to D3306 engine s/n 93N1175 in 1972.

It's clear that my manual relates to the D333C engine, I just need the tractor to go with the manual now
