The adjustment on the clutch brake on my D7E 47A is all used up and I assume that the brake band needs to be replaced.  The transmission grinds about half the time when shifting. The forward reverse lever also keeps getting loose on the shaft which doesn't help any. I have the service manual for this tractor however it is unclear to me as to whether the universal joint assembly needs to come out for this. Can the band be slipped over the joint? Any idea on parts availability?

Hey, yeah I thought I’d add in. I’m working on a 73T the shoe holes or walled out pin that a pivots on walled out so I ordered them from the local cat dealer to be here Friday.
