I bought a D7E 47A back about 2-3 years ago. Just started using it in the last 6 months on the weekends hard. I have notice over the last few weekends the tranny has started to loose tourque. I set the clutch tension back about 6 months ago and oil is good and clean.

Where do i need to start looking. Wont pull much in 2nd gear. 1st will still push faily well but have noticed its not spinning the tracks at all and we have sand it should dig some. Is the clutch plates getting wore and weak? Can i possbily adjust the clutch engagment again and get along for a while? This is just a ranch dozer that we use to rake behind our D7G. So its not abused every day.

If your tractor has a clutch it won't have a torque converter.
Adjust the clutch.

Here's the specs for adjusting if you don't have them.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
