OM, I just can,t remmber for sure but didn,t the D7 starting with the 17A go to an oil starting engine clutch? It seems it was then they went to the metallic discs in them if I recall. I know the 3T D7s and down were a dry clutch. Boy my memory is getting short and I guess it,s old age as I,ll be 80 on Fri. the 19th. of this week.My daughter is planning a big party for me and my twin sister this weekend along with being Fathers Day for me.

Hi SJ,
Well, your memory is still working pretty good😊 😊 Yes, the 17A is a wet clutch.
I picked up on the dry version from the question about mag parts where it was stated as a 9G model D7.

Congratulations on your big birthday coming up and enjoy the partyπŸ˜„ πŸ˜„

Ken, I have a D9G in Pa that needs the sprocket resealed. I will arrange to have it dropped off in your driveway on the 18th so you have lots of help to split the track and lift the press gear. Just kidding SJ, have a Good One.
Later Bob

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
