Just located and purchased a 6T! 485 original hours. Made by American Car and foundry, licensed from caterpillar. It is one of 1000, and it was made only one year, 1945. I intend getting it up and running and hopefully bringing it to a show! I rebuilt my first D7 3T at age 15 and I am now 48! I am excited to have this tractor!!
I saved it from the scrapyard.

Pretty cool I bet most of them got left in Euope and my book shows 1064 for being made. Does it have tags from American Car

i happen to have a 6t 1041 built by caterpillar, what would the year be on that? also a 7m 1029 parts machine ? thank you

The 6T series was built in 1945 only, starting at 6T1 and ending at 6T1054.

Your 7M is a 1940, production that year was 7M1 to 7M1615.
