Can anyone help me with a d7 3t 4t hydraulic control manual for an angle blade?
I have the parts off a 4t that I want to install on a d7 17a.
I would like to find a model 46 control unit, but if I can't I will use the 4t setup.

Thanks,
Clay

Hi,
I have a d7 17a with cable dozer.
I bought the hydraulics off a 4t but it has no model or serial numbers.
I am looking for any information---manual that may be available.
I don't know what to look for one ebay

Thanks,

Clay

I don't recognize that unit although it does somewhat look like Laplant Choate. Finding a manual might be tough. Maybe Kelly can add some insight.....

Is there a name on the pump? BeGe maybe?

clay,

Well, OM is right on. What you have is a pair of LaPlant-Choate hydraulic dozer cylinders and there mounting brackets weld to the cat dozer radiator guard (shroud), by close inspection you will find that the welding is not a factory weld. The only thing Caterpillar is the radiator shroud. As for the tank, and pump I don’t recall a LaPlant-Choate tank as the one in the photo. But, I can’t say it’s not, same with the pump, I don’t recall having an experience with the ones in the photos. I know, no “silver bullet”.

Hope everything works out for you.

This is the Laplant Choate unit that sort of identifies the cylinders but that's not the pump system that LC used unless there was an alternate version?

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
