Looks like that number crosses to 7m6764 but that is just the left portion of the link? Does the right link have a different number?

Thank you for the link to the parts suppliers. I will call the one in Sacramento today to see if I can get a hold of them.
I would like to replace both sides. I can't see the numbers on the other side. I would also think a new pin would be good. The pin slides in and out of the other link like a $2 ... Well you get the idea.
Might buy some extras if they have them.
Without the numbers in my parts book I need the numbers for the other parts. I will look for the number which you found that crosses.
Thanks very much for your help.![]()
Oh and by the way. This is my fist tractor. It came with the house I bought and while it was running I was loving it.
Huge grin on my face!
I haven't done any undercarriage work so I'm no expert. But the pins are pressed into the links with a large press. I don't know if it's plausible for you to replace the links in the field. You may be better off welding the link back together. Then putting the old pin and bushing back in and welding the pin in on both sides. I would probably also weld the broken track link to the pad after I got the link welded up.
FYI. At the bottom of that link should be a place to put in part numbers and search for them. That way when you get part numbers you can search for them.

The left link 2m7266 and right side 2m7265
I agree, weld it up and try again , and see what other ailments the old beast has .
My guess would be, that is the master pin and it started to drift out causeing the link to break.
the rails look like they are shot , from the looks of the break its been cracked for awhile and my guess you will find that there are a lot more with cracks. take wire brush and clean up some more and look.
I have an old d8 cat with cracked rails just the way yours are cracked
