Just buy the lining and rivit it back on .

You can get the lining from Cat and have a clutch and brake shop assem it for you.

McMaster Carr has sheets and strips of various thickness and friction grades. Pretty cheap too if you don't need a lot of surface area. Most likely have rivets too.
D2-5J's, D6-9U's, D318 and D333 power units, 12E-99E grader, 922B & 944A wheel loaders, D330C generator set, DW20 water tanker and a bunch of Jersey cows to take care of in my spare time😄

local cat dealer has the parts, not a lot about this in my book about re and re. from machine, any help greatly appreciated

If you're asking, it must not be the simple external shoe rubbing on a drum that bolts to the short/duplex universal joint connecting the clutch and transmission that was used on the later D6.

Sorry, never looked at a 17A clutch brake.
