Howdy, A friend of mine has a D6d which wouldn't start. He had his hired man put in new batteries and still no start. Had me to look at it, turn on disconnect switch, hit glow plugs nothing, tried starter nothing. Jumped solenoid on starter it cranks. Used jumper wire to circuit breaker on dash from starter, glow plugs work and it started. Is this positive ground? I think they tried to jump it and I'm trying to figure out if something is fried. A wiring diagram would help as I don't have a service or parts manual sorry. Thanks Bif

Try replacing the circuit breaker and see how it works.

if you have a test lamp try checking for power at the CB either side if you have power then move on to the amp meter make sure you have power both sides then on to the switch

before using a test lamp make sure it has a 24 volt globe in it and always test the tester on a known live supply and keep on checking it as you go encase use loose ground somewhere ie knock the alligator clip off
