Going to look at a D6D this week end. Owner has had it 20 yrs, says it is in top shape, just used on his farms. Any thing in particular I should look at, other than the usual wear areas? Any good/bad serial numbers? Thoughts? 12k hours. Thanks in advance, Andy.

D6D is a good machine. other than the obvious undercarriage issues you should check the engine for blow by and see if it will start from cold. also expect the belt pulley to be worn out and the engine to get hot on warm extended hard days work unless it has had a change.

Bought the D6d and now looking for engine enclosures and limb risers. Used or after market OK. Thx, Andy.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
