Any guidance/procedures on changing the oil and filter from you professionals?
I currently do not have a service manual for the D6D, I do have one for a D6C.
While underneath the dozer there is a hole with 2 slots, is this where the drain plug is located?
Further aft is a access panel with 4 bolts, I’m not sure what that accesses?

Fuel filter replacement guidance/procedures?
Thanks

There should be an access hole in the left side of the belly pan inline with the hole with the 2 notches in the bottom you are referring to. Use a long extension and a 9/16 socket thru the hole in the side to open the "drain valve"

On my D6D 04X the engine oil capacity is 7 or 7.5 gal.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
