According to the Cat serial number book I have from a Cat Dealer Sales Dept. says they came out in 1968 so yours probably came out that year yet or the next for as low a SN as it has.

Thanks Roly for the reply.

Kc, in answer to your question no we do not have to take the blade off
but where we keep the machine there are a lot of cars & vans parked
down a narrow street and we did not know if it would fit so to be on the safe
side we took it off. When it went out to work it went with the blade on
but angled to its maximum and we had no problems.

Cheers Andy

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
