I have a 10K D6C with hyster winch. This weekend went to pull out a stuck tractor and the winch reversed out fine but would not spool in. Sounded like gears grinding when I went to engage. Used to work fine. Could it be linkage adjustments, low fluids, any help or ideas would be appreciated.

That's a power controlled winch on the 10K. Direction changes are done by hydraulic clutches, not gear changes. May be a problem with the hydraulic system and/or automatic brake and pawl if it has that optional feature.
