I have a D6C, 10k10332, 1974. I also have the service manual with pictures, but for the life of me I can't locate the radiator drain valve on the machine. Anyone have a helpful tip on where it is? Of course I have all the belly plates on it and was hoping I don't have to remove those. I've put some radiator cleaner in it and now need to flush it out.
Thanks.
Drain valve is on bottom of radiator lower pipe, you can open valve with a 9\16 socket on a extenion thru hole on left lower side of hard nose .
Good luck

Hole through the bottom left side of pan as stated, but might have a T-handle valve. At least that's what mine has. I made up a tool by cutting a slot in the end of a piece of pipe to go over the t-handle. Last time I had the front pan off I put a short piece of hose on the drain long enough to hang down just through the bottom of the pan....saves it running all over the place.
If it's like mine it's full of so much dirt it's pretty hard to see what you've got.
I think mine has a t handle valve. I haven't found any 9/16ths that looks like a drain. Guess I'll take the pan off and look around a little better. thanks for the tips guys.
