I know that the D6b shares a lot of parts with the 9u. So will the front idlers interchange? Thanks in advance.

Considering that the 9U ended at s/n 29764 it's a long shot that will work out.

D6B Caterpillar part number 1M3935. I just bought 2 from Florin Tractor in California a couple of months ago 800-223-9916. Great outfit, really friendly and knowledgeable. They might have the earlier 9U idlers if you need them.
