D6B brake band

Hi everyone

I got a band relined last year from a brake rebuilder, I installed myself and tried to set with the manual but I couldn't slow down it's wear, only 200hrs it was destroyed. I just got it relined again but is it suppose to have so much woven material in it?

Any help would be much appreciated

Did You adjust set bolt underneith so its not riding down on the drum ? i would recomend to go back to the riveted on lining like they used to have .
