Good morning,
I have a chance at buying a d69u for less than scrap price. the undercarriage is in excellent shape it has been setting for 9 years. The fellow say's he thinks the engine is locked up. I am not sure if it is or not. I do know however that the shaft for the fan is bent and gone and now the upper hyraulic cylinder mount, (the tube that runs behind the radiator that the cylinders hook to) is now gone. I am going to be looking for those two parts if this deal happens and I can get the engine to crank. Is this something that is going to be hard to find?
thanks for any and all help.
Ben

I made a mistake when I made this post I went today to have a better look at the dozer. it is a d6 b 44a. the undercarriage is in really good shape at least 85% I would say. The blade is a 9 foot straight blade with tight pins and good edge although it does have a hole in it now where they tried to push it with another dozer. The engine is stuck right now but the fellow said that three days ago they put batteries in it and it turned about 1/4 turn before it stopped. I am wanting to get it running does anyone have any suggestions? If for some reason I cannot get this running I am going to sell it either in part or whole. Any info you guys can give me on the machine would be greatly appreciated.

You could pull the injectors and poor WD-45 or PB Blaster in the cylinders and let it sit and it wil usually break free, with my experiences you need a way to turn the engine over by hand though with a breaker bar. Good Luck
