I perceive a problem with removing the jet from the carburator that I'm going to attempt to rebuild. I had someone play with it and the best I can recall is they said they could not remove the jets because they not break lose. Is there any recomendation on how to slove this problem.

Find or create the perfect fitting screwdriver to remove them. Screwdriver is a whole lot cheaper than a carburetor from CAT.

If you can clean through the jet with a plastic bristle or other object that won't break off in there or wear the opening larger, along with blowing through with air and carburetor cleaner, you may not have to remove them. I was most scared to do much to the one in the bottom of the bowl next to the drain plug.

I limped along with the 212 pony carburetor for a few months after getting it running, and the last time I went into it, the jets which had been stuck screwed right out.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
