Hello all, a friend of mine has a D6 Dozer SN 9U1137 it shows as having a 4F1447 transfer pump. Where as the manual I have shows a 5F6607. Question I have is, are the internals the same between the pumps and if not what is different. Thanks

Hi, Touareg62.

There were quite a few models of Cats through the ages where there were updates during a model run - pays to look at the serial number range at the bottom of each page to see which serial numbers that page refers to.

Some sections remain constant throughout the entire model run while others may have several parts changes during the same model's run.

Just my 0.02

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

Hello Deas Plant,

I looked the SN range of the bottom of the page and the 5F falls in that range for that matter all the way to 9U13236.

Thank you again.

5F6607 is correct for that s/n. 4F1447 might be a casting number.

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
