we did a little salvage project in which we had to get 2 boats floating again after 30 year, float them around a point of land and winch them on to shore for transportation. the D6 9U worked really good but the big boat was just a little too big, lol.

Hi KoO,
Was that to much for the winch or just a traction problem??

old magnet -- it was a traction problem, sand and rocks have no grib for some reason.

more to come on this, we just did the hard part now the easy part is moving the boats 100kms over the Kinoosao Rally Road to the Kingdom.

paul -- this was a 10 year project dealing with gov and the powers to be. in 2005 the boats where on shore and the motors and back ends under water. this year the lake is down 4 feet so the big boat had to get shoved back 55 feet to make it float again. i used the cat to push the big boat sideways then pump water in to the hole and wash the sand at the back away. it took 2 hours of pushing and shoving withThe Hood to get the big boat floating free for the first time in 30 years. then i had to wait 2 days for the big blue boat to travel 60 miles to help out with towing the boats around to the west side so i can salvage them. working in sand is hopeless.

i'm glad you enjoyed the Screaming Ford, it was the 3rd year we filmed which is very surprising considering where i live. we are hopeing they give me my own show so then we can film more of the collectables in the Kingdom. this little adventure with the boats was a little warm up for the hollywood gods to see.

I saw you at the end of a load that you and Art delivered to a trailer. It was probably a re-run but there wasn't anything else to watch. I'm surprised they didn't call you for the trip over the Bay?
