Being a farmer that has been through tough times with no cash,I have run 14 of each and got good service from it.Wise guy friend did have worried that the stack could be to tall but everything worked good.

May everything line up easy as you put it all together.

This tractor has been sitting for close to 30 years so it's been a challenge getting it all apart. I have got 1 clutch tore down and cleaned up and I get a measurement of 3 3/16. So unless the other side is in different shape I think I'm going to run them. Good to know you can be creative with them though.
Thanks Jesse

The last D6 steering clutch I worked on had no wear on it but had rusted together. Had big pieces of the friction material come out with the steel plates, ended up putting some questionable plates back in. This was a dry master clutch machine I had others with wet that I liked, this would be a little used back up to the other. Things happen had heath troubles, never got the little and big things other D6's needed done. The back up is now number one D6. Found it has had a little tuning done by the best in this area. Now I wish I had used better parts in the steering clutch but so far all is good.

I have removed many clutch plates that the drive teeth are almost gone,so what had been good parts before rust just sucked me into reuse with several quarter size pieces of friction material broken off. So hopefully ,stickl you plates came apart better than mine so reuse is not questionable. I am blaming the endangered rats that lived around the barn this machine had rested in since 1985 for the reason 1 or 2 days of us a year didn't keep everything loose.

I don't know for sure but I think that vermin piss is very corrosive. So far the the worst plates just have a little friction material missing around the edges.
