Need to swap out my injectors (6H3364), suggest troubleshooting chart.

It ran last year pulling it off, checked the rack and pushing fuel, albeit it does not "shoot" like a normal modern diesel. Completly bled to injectors.
Book and searches here says injectors should pop @ 500psi (300-800). I am getting a tinge of dark smoke, but it does not seem to catch. Runs on ether.

I have no means to pop them, so replacement is more economical for me, considering the fuel/time to take them to a injection shop and the service charge.

Anyway, while I am servicing injectors, thought I'd replace preCups with glow plug type (1S1970).

That is --until, I read that glow plugs (3H2033) are 24 volts.

My starter and alternator are 12V. Is there a part number for 12V pencil glow plugs that fit these PreCups?

It would be kind of unusual to have all the injectors go bad at the same time. Seems more like a fuel supply problem....what do you have for transfer pump pressure?
No 12v conversion glow plugs that I am aware of.

When I crank it, it moves from RED to highest level on the Green. New filters, new gage.
Fresh fuel. I was expecting a little more shooting at the inector lines but that was before I read the injectots pop so low.

My book say 15 psi, is there a port to plug a gage after filters?

I think there might be some 12 volt plugs. I recall a bunch of D7E's we got in from Alaska or Yukon.
They where set up with starting engine and glow plugs. Have to check this out.

There is no problem finding 12v glow plugs.....the problem is getting them to fit in place of the 3H2033 units.

If someone gets a chance, side by side compare a 3T9561 (12v) glow plug with the 3H2033.
Also a 3T8705 (12v)
Can't seem to find any real specific data on these things.
