I having a issue with the carburetor on the pony motor. I stop working the other day and did some blade repair. Pony was starting fine no issues. Finished the other repairs and went to start and found that when I turned on the gas cock I had gas in the right cylinder of the pony ( it ran out ) but none out of the left side. I open the petcocks and turned it over a few times to clear and shut the gas off but it still wouldn't start checked and cleaned the plugs. Checked for spark looked good. but still no luck in starting. Again we petcock is open gas goes into the right cylinder. I removed the carburetor thinking it might be a stuck float or needle valve. I had the gas tank off and the carburetor connected to it on the work bench and had no gas coming out so I reinstalled it and had the same issue. The dozer is is not sitting level from side to side it's leaning slightly down hill on the right side. I have new plugs to install but this won't help my gas issue. Any Ideas would be helpful.
Well it seems the carburetor is the only path of gas from the tank to the combustion chamber.
There fore it must be the carb and it was just coincidence that it did not leak on the bench. The slope at which it's parked must have something to do with it.
But in the past on these hills I don't remember ever having a carb prob no matter how it's parked.
