I'm looking for the model no of the standard hyd straight blade on a D69U 12583 so I can start looking for a parts manual. My tag was ripped off. Bottom line is I'm in need of the curved top cover of the radiator guard assembly and I'm fairly sure it's not a separate item so just trying to find a used one that I can cut and weld to mine. Something located close to New Jersey would be nice. Bill A

Are you looking for the top section of the perforated grill pt. no. 5F0068 or are you talking about the top of the frame?

If the 6S blade has provision for hydraulic cylinder operation only it's most likely a 3G2001-up s/n

If it has provision for both hydraulic cylinders and center lift for cable control it's most likely a 16C1-up s/n

Thanks OM! I have the hyd cyl style only. It's the heavy top piece that has the radiator cap protruding. Bill

OM. Believe it or not, I just was going thru a crate of old parts books I got this afternoon and found a 6S bulldozer covering the 15C and 16C set ups. Now I know the part I need is not a separate item , but part of the whole 5F392 frame assembly. Looks like I,m going to have to go for the whole piece from a salvage yard. Thanks for your help. Bill

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
