I got a D68U BullDozer with a 850-2 BE GE Pump. It has 3 valves on the back. 2 Valves for Attachments and the top one runs the Blade. I have replaced the seals and O ring on the blade valve. I all so have had the RT side Hydraulic blade cylinder seals replaced. Before and now after doing this the blade works fine excett the blade will not stay up on its own. It slowly drops down. Does any on have any ideas what i should try next to find out were my leak by problem is. Any help would be great.
Thanks JP

I suspect the blade spool is worn and leaking by. You could try switching your blade to one of the other (less used) sections.

Thanks for the reply Old Magnet. I was thinking about doing that. But the only thing i am not sure about is why the other 2 spools look different. Are they a different kind? (higher - Lower Preasure) The Dozer spool has an extra block to it on it's left side. I have attached a pic. Do you now what the differece is. Thanks for the help JP

Can't say that I recognize the extra section right off but I'm thinking that may be an early version float valve. Does the blade have a float position/function?

Let us know what that ends up costing to get it chromed.

Also, if you could pst some pictures of it dis-assembled that would be great. Be-Ge had a kit that you could buy to made a standard valve a float valve. I am curious as to what that would involve.

Thanks,

John
