Are the dozer blade for a 8u and a 9u interchangable

They are built the same but the 8U is a 60 in. gauge tractor and the 9U is a 74 in. gauge......so they would require width modifications to interchange.

Hi, D6guy.
Old magnet is right about the blade width being much wider for the 9U series tractor than for the 8U series, around 14" in fact. I suspect that the 9U blade may also have been built slightly differently to cope with stresses of the extra width.

How-wevver, although I do stand to be corrected on this, I suspect that the push arms, braces, trunnions, etc., are all interchangeable. I would be interested in hearing from anybody who has the appropriate parts books and who can tell me if this is so.
