Hello, My question is what kind of grease gun do I need for these grease fittings. Even more so the one in the tracks. Also, I have a fuel leak on the bottom of my fuel tank. I think something screws into plug that pipe. What is missing or needs to be replaced? Thanks so much i really appreciate any advice or extra thoughts!

Fuel leak........Nothing is missing.........get a 1/2" NPT pipe plug and some dope and screw it in there. Or just replace the valve with a ball valve so you can more easily drain the water that will collect in the tank over time.

The correct grease gun is a bucket type with a long hose connected to a "giant buttonhead" coupler. You can use a smaller grease gun in a pinch, but it's easy to apply too much pressure to the seals and blow them with the small guns. The larger ones with a high volume pump give a little more "feel" when the roller is full and some have a bypass that should prevent blowing the seals. The correct grease is "track lube". Closest analog commonly available these days is 000 weight "corn head grease" available at any agricultural equipment dealer in 14 oz tubes. You probably can go to a lubricant/oil jobber and get it in bulk pails if you find a bucket type pump.
D2-5J's, D6-9U's, D318 and D333 power units, 12E-99E grader, 922B & 944A wheel loaders, D330C generator set, DW20 water tanker and a bunch of Jersey cows to take care of in my spare time😄

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
