D4D 84J serial number help?

That's a nice looking D4D. Maybe John Gardner aka Mr. D4e himself could chime in about it; he has a LOT of knowledge running D4 tractors. He had a custom weed abatement/disking service in SoCal prior to retirement.
My 84J with non turbo engine will pull a 10-12' drag disk,drag and roller in 4th okay depending on soil conditions. Most folks around here always ran in 3rd in the orchards, and the large land owners would have 4th and 5th shift gates welded shut.
The 84J I own with the 70P turbocharged 3304 engine is a whole different animal. It will run with ease, 18' drag disks with rollers in 5th gear (special application machine).
I was under the impression that the 330 came mainly in the 78A series machine.
***note the Z prefix stamped on the tag; to this day, nobody can tell us why/what that stamp is for!***

@Ray54 sending tractors over to Hawaii is still happening today, the dealership my brother used to work for in Stockton just sent a whole group of new Magnum and Steiger tractors over last year. 

We have been looking for a D6D SA with a cab for several years but a nice one commands a good price still. We actually happened upon a Challenger 45 instead, has about 7000 hrs and the undercarriage and tracks had been done recently so we bought that instead. Little different driving one compared to the old steel tracks.

OM: Thank you for the information, as usual, you are helping immensely. I am curious when the 84J made the change over to the 3304. 84J1284? has the 330C I believe, and my favorite, the D4D SA 84J2281? has the 3304 with factory turbo.
Nice photos Anthony, I miss being part of the farming here often; but then again, glad that I am not tied down to it. Hats off to all the hard working full time growers out there!
I bet it is hard to go back to driving the open station tractors with that Challenger 45 available. It probably has a nice AC unit and stereo sound. My own experience was with a rental unit from ATI, an early 65. Fun to drive, some folks can't seem to get the hang of one I've been told.

The 3304 came in at s/n 84J1525

So I see the D330C is the larger displacement same as the 3304, but its rated hp is at 1680rpm, where the 3304 is rated at 2200rpm? Would it be possible just to increase the rated rpm on mine by adjusting the governor?
