That's a 1970 model.
D330c @ 65hp
Changes:
New cast iron oil pan replaces stamped steel unit @ 82J1093
New final drive gears & pinion @ 82J1574
Didn't quite make the next change with stronger bevel gear case mounting flanges @ 82J2986.

Hi, Sandcreek.
I personally don't think there was ever a BAD model of the D4. For mine, pound for pound, they are one of the best crawlers that God ever let anybody burn diesel fuel in. I also happen to think that the D4D was one of the better examples of the 'species'. Just remember that they are NOT D9's and treat it accordingly.

Just my 0.02.

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

I'm curious as to what year and if anyone could give me some specs on my machine. I'm a first time dozer owner and ran across this D4d with a hyster d4e winch for $7500
Serial number is 82j1871. What's the weight? Horsepower?
