I need a pin pressed out of another machine next week and was wondering how a D47U comes apart.....pressed as well? I believe one side needs a idler bearing and might as well do both while the guy is here.

Some D4's had split end pins with wedge plugs. Unless it has newer rails with a standard pins.

look for cork in the end of the wedge plug--if so remove it and there is threads in the plug to pull it out

Here is what the D4 Tractor Servicemen's Reference Book, form FEO30521-02 says:

Seems unlikely that a 7U would still have one of these style track pin systems - probably replaced with a drive in/ out pin.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
