I have a D47U parts cat and need to determine if the generator is a 6v or something else. The Delco tag is illegible. The case is larger than generators on other 7U-s; case measures 10.25"L x 5.125"W. Case is scalloped out behind mounting bolts. Could this be a 12v generator? Couldn't find an answer searching the threads. Thanks.

Could be a 12v 40amp model, also a 24v 40 amp unit. Do you have the regulator? might have voltage indicated on it or maybe a part number.

Thanks. I will take a look at the regulator and see if there is any info inside.
