you need to adjust the pony clutch
I will pull out my manuals, give the pony clutch a shot tomorrow.
Suggestion-start with the starter pinion latch screws. Try to get them equal and adjust 180 degrees at a time each screw. You probably already know this, but let oil pressure build up before kicking over on compression.

Thank you dependzic! I adjusted the pony clutch per the operators manual, went three holes. Works great now, diesel fired easily.
