I need to replace the hoses on my hydraulic cylinders. does anyone know what the working pressure is on a 1953 D4 6U with cat hydraulics

Thanks Magnet. 1000 PSI working pressure single braid should work fine.

More important is the OD of the hose to work with the clamps.

Yes, the O.D. For the old clamp style isn't too common I found; local shop did some welding on fittings so the hose could be crimped. Just because the I.D. matches, doesn't mean it will work safely. Captainhowdy, be careful about the hose; hate to have you injure yourself or anyone else for that matter. JM

I would recommend a hose with more than 1000 psi working pressure--the relief is set at 1200 psi and just about every hose I blew was from a shock load on the system
