Hello
Repairing motorgrader 12 (9K4183) D4600 engine and now it's time to put cylinder heads back.
Can anybody help with cylinder head bolt tightening torque?

Ismo, are you near Sotkamo? A fellow Perttu that I think is no longer with us resurrected a 36A D8 back in 2011 which is probably now with some other members there.

Hello Neil
Sorry, I don't personally know member Perttu but have seen lot of you tube videos when he is starting D8 engine before restoration.
I am living southwest corner of Finland in city named Salo, between Helsinki (capital city) and Turku. Sotkamo is some 400 miles to northeast from Salo.
I am not sure but I think Perttu might be maintenance engineer in mining business but not sure for this. Do you know Perttu?
I also like to meet other Cat enthusiasts so we have only few of them in Finland
I and my brother are little more or less grazy for these old Cats.
Now our project is to bring to life motorgrader 12 9K year 1942.
We have also some tractors 1930 TEN, 1937 TWENTY TWO, 1950 D4 (part machine), 1955 D6, 1958 D4, 1961 D4, 1964 D4, 1967 D7
This Acmoc BB is priceless help for us when trying restore those old machines --- thanks for it

Regards Ismo

Hi Ismo, unfortunately Perttu died last year - one of our Australian members Wombat visited with Perttu a couple of years ago. Perttu definitely had help when working on that 36A so the other folks are still there I guess in Sotkamo. There are also members in Sweden and Norway with Cat equipment. Search for "sweden" or 'norway' on here and you'll find their names

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
